Location, Location, Location
Broken Head.
Broken head is less than a 10 minute drive from Byron and has undisturbed views of Cape Byron and the iconic lighthouse. It’s a beautiful and quiet location. Perfect for sunrise or sunset shoots. Framed by palm trees, golden sand and clear waters, shooting here is picture perfect. There are also plenty of little nooks and beautiful look outs in the area as well as a mixture of rocky terrain which provide plenty of options to create those magical shots.
Lennox Head.
Located south of Byron and just North of Ballina, Lennox is home to a variety of stunning locations that all capture the chill vibe and beauty of this seaside village. 7 Mile Beach is a flawless stretch of sand that follows the coast north from the Lennox Point headland allowing for creative and undisturbed shoots. There is also Flat Rock beach, just north of Ballina which is perfect during low tide when it exposes an intricate maze of rockpools. As well as Boulder Beach in Lennox which has a rocky beach with dark sand and stunning cliffs. With plenty of space, native plants and views for days, this town has it all.
The Pass
Surf breaks, dolphins sightings and pristine white sand are just some of the reasons The Pass is one of our favourite locations. Nestled between Clarkes Beach and Wategos, just outside of Byron, this popular beach is a fabulous location for underwater and surfing related shoots. The Pass might be a surfers playground, but it’s also the perfect location for creating inspiring content, in and out of the water.
Wategos Beach
Located 2km east of Byron Bay, Wategos beach is a quiet and humble cove that instantly calms the soul. Sheltered by the headland and Cape Byron, this crescent beach is known for its gentle waves and relaxing atmosphere. Home to some beautiful rock formations, native plants and a grassy foreshore, Wategos beach is a stunning backdrop for intimate or creative content.
Studios
Studios or using a backdrop are an awesome way to capture unique imagery. There are some incredible spaces around Byron and the Gold Coast.
